Why Completed Ready-to-Displayh Props are by order only

Completed Ready-to-Display props are now handled by request rather than standard “add to cart” checkout.

These builds vary too much in finish level, electronics, display method, size, shipping requirements, and build complexity to price or schedule properly as a fixed product.

A request-based process lets us quote the job properly before you commit.

Instead of giving a generic lead time, we assess the actual scope of the build first.

That includes:

  • prop size and complexity
  • surface preparation and paint finish
  • electronics, lighting, sound, or haptics
  • display stand or wall mount requirements
  • current production workload
  • shipping and packing requirements

This gives you a more realistic timeframe before payment is taken.

Pricing matched to your requirements

A completed display prop can change significantly in price depending on what you want.

For example:

  • clean display finish vs heavy weathering
  • static prop vs electronic prop
  • basic stand vs powered display mount
  • standard colours vs screen-inspired finish
  • simple assembly vs reinforced internal structure

Request-based quoting avoids charging too much for simple builds or underquoting complex ones.

Better finished results

Some props need design decisions before production starts.

The request form lets us clarify:

  • what visual details matter most
  • how accurate you want it to be
  • whether it will be handled or only displayed
  • where and how it will be displayed
  • what compromises are acceptable for strength, shipping, or electronics

That makes the final prop more aligned with what you actually want.

No automatic queueing into the wrong build type

Previously, completed props could be purchased like standard products. That created problems where builds entered the queue before the full scope, pricing, and timeframe were properly confirmed.

The new request process keeps completed builds controlled, quoted, and scheduled properly.

How the process works

  1. Submit the request form
  2. We review the scope
  3. We confirm feasibility, price, and estimated lead time
  4. You approve the quote
  5. A deposit or invoice is issued
  6. The build is scheduled
